Original Author: Unknown
Group Size: 6-15 Participants
Duration: 25 Minutes or 5 Attempts
Materials:
Boundary Rope
Number or Lettered Markers
Stopwatch
Start/Stop Line
Setup
Define play area with boundary rope.
Lay out numbered or lettered spots in the play area.
Establish a clear start/stop line, positioned far enough away that the team cannot identify the markings on each spot.
Objective and Description
The objective is for the team to touch all numbers or letters in sequential order as quickly as possible.
The entire team must begin and finish behind the start line. Stopwatch starts when the first person crosses the line and stops when the last person returns.
Every time the team or a member crosses the start line, it counts as an attempt.
Only one person can be inside the play area at a time.
Violations:
Two or more people inside the play area → penalty: 10 seconds
Markers touched out of sequence → penalty: 10 seconds
Teams may not return to the play area between attempts to study the layout – no scouting trips.
Markers and boundary rope may not be moved.
Safety
Remove hazards from the play area
