Game Setup

Original Author: Unknown

Group Size: 6-15 Participants

Duration: 25 Minutes or 5 Attempts

Materials:

  • Boundary Rope

  • Number or Lettered Markers

  • Stopwatch

  • Start/Stop Line

 Setup

  • Define play area with boundary rope.

  • Lay out numbered or lettered spots in the play area.

  • Establish a clear start/stop line, positioned far enough away that the team cannot identify the markings on each spot.

Objective and Description

  • The objective is for the team to touch all numbers or letters in sequential order as quickly as possible.

  • The entire team must begin and finish behind the start line. Stopwatch starts when the first person crosses the line and stops when the last person returns.

  • Every time the team or a member crosses the start line, it counts as an attempt.

  • Only one person can be inside the play area at a time.

  • Violations:

    • Two or more people inside the play area → penalty: 10 seconds

    • Markers touched out of sequence → penalty: 10 seconds

  • Teams may not return to the play area between attempts to study the layout – no scouting trips.

  • Markers and boundary rope may not be moved.

Safety

  • Remove hazards from the play area
